Parish Council in Nottinghamshire Local Services and Facilities

Situated off Back Lane the Cemetery was established in the 1930’s after the grave yard at St Patrick’s Church was full.

Owned, managed and maintained by the Parish Council, which is very unusual within the Broxtowe Borough, it is a quiet haven for those dear departed and their families.

Regrettably due to a shortage of available spaces graves are no longer offered for sale on a pre-purchase basis and plots are allocated by the Council in strict rotation to ensure that the grave digging contractors can get access to carry out their task.

The Council have responded to changing times and now offer ashes burial spaces for one or two caskets of ashes in the front section of the Cemetery.

You can view an updated version of the cemetery map (December 2015) by clicking here.  This is provided in Excel spreadsheet format so that, once downloaded, you can search the map for specific family names (which may not be readily visible on the spreadsheet due to the constraints of cell sizes).  Your browser may simply show the file as a download at the bottom of your screen, and you can open it from there, or it may go to your default downloads folder and you will need to open it from there.
